COURSES OFFERED

The College offers the following courses leading to the Degrees under the R.B.U.

1. Bachelor of Visual Arts (course duration 4 years – one year Foundation and specialization 3 years) specialization – Painting, Sculpture, Applied Art.

This 4 years integrated course comprises an initial one year Foundation Programme introducing the students to all the departments, developing basic hand-skill and responses to his environment. The specialization programme of the next three years is however for developing and educating the students power of observation and visualization, simultaneously with media-skill, without undermining his creativity. This is an Honours programme like Honours Degree courses of other Universities.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION

This College hold University examination at the end of the 4th year for the B.V.A. Course. Promotion in all intermediate years in based on internal assessment of students performances and their submission of terminal works.

PERCENTAGE OF ATTENDANCE
       
Minimum percentage of attendance at lectures delivered and classes held required for enrolment for B.V.A. (Preparatory), B.V.A. (Final) examination is 75%.
       
CHANCES      
A student shall have three consecutive chances including the first and original one calculated on the basis of his or her date of admission to the course, to sit for an examination subject to fulfillment of all other stipulated conditions.
       
Requirements for pass land Palcement with Honours in Class I & II
       
1. B.V.A. (Foundation Course)      
2. B.V.A. (Final)      
       
60% marks or more in the aggregate : Class I
40% marks or more but below    
60% marks in the aggregate   : Class II
30% marks or more but below      
40% marks in the aggregate   : Pass
       
N.B. In studio Practice/ Practical 30% marks are allotted to class works assessment and 70% marks to practical examination and display.
       
CLASS HOUR      
       
(Monday to Saturday)
Day-Section : 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Evening-Section : 4.10p.m. to 9.10 p.m.
